A.    Installation
Will smsBlocker work on my mobile phone?
smsBlocker is designed for all handsets that support Symbian operating system. Most of the Nokia phones support Symbian. For complete list of compatible mobile handsets, click here.
Do I need to have GPRS/ internet for using smsBlocker?
No. smsBlocker does not need GPRS/ internet connection.
Where smsBlocker will be installed? Do I need a memory card to run smsBlocker?
smsBlocker can be installed on either phone memory or memory card. You can choose the location during the installation. However, if the application is installed on card memory, you will need to keep the card in the phone for the application to work.
How much memory is required to run smsBlocker?
smsBlocker is a very light software. It requires around 500 KB in memory for installation, and less than 1 MB for running the application.
What if I change either my SIM card or mobile number or handset?
For seamless operation, smsBlocker is configured to the unique handset identification number- i.e. IMEI. Thus, change of SIM card or mobile no. will not affect smsBlocker. However, if you change your handset, smsBlocker will not work on new handset.
If I uninstall the application, will any settings or data related to smsBlocker remain?
No. Upon uninstallation, all settings and data related smsBlocker will be deleted.

B.    Blocking Spam
How does smsBlocker know whether a SMS is spam SMS?
smsBlocker is powered with a Unique Intuitive Algorithm to detect and block spam SMS automatically. However, you can customize the filtering levels as per your privacy requirements.
Will the spam SMS sender know that I have blocked SMS sent by him/her?
No SMS is blocked by smsBlocker from reaching to your phone. Every SMS is actually delivered to your mobile and depending upon whether the SMS is spam or not, smsBlocker just transfers it either to the ‘Bin’ folder silently or to the Inbox in a regular way. So the SMS sender will see the status as delivered in SMS report and will not know that his/ her SMS are blocked.
Do I still need to register in DND or NDNC to block sms if I am already using smsBlocker?
No. smsBlocker gives you complete control over the incoming SMS. You can make your own blocklists and modify them anytime to block SMS.
